Mental Health Nursing Trainer
Are you passionate about changing community perceptions, attitudes and practices towards people with mental illness?
Join the Ministry of Health and Medical Services (MHMS) as a Mental Health Nursing Trainer to improve mental health care service delivery and development.
Your role as Mental Health Nursing Trainer will work closely with the Senior Nursing Officer (SNO) at Te Meeria Ward to assist in the review of nursing processes and procedures on the ward and support the leadership and advocacy for mental health services in Kiribati. You will assist and train staff to develop and deliver mental health services that ensure safety and security of staff and patients. You will also provide training workshops as required and support the implementation of any new recommendations to enhance service delivery.
This assignment will directly improve health outcomes for psychiatric patients, and contribute to changing community perceptions, attitudes and practices towards people with mental illness.
- Bachelor Degree in Nursing or related field
- Three years of experience working as a psychiatric nurse
- Experience providing leadership within a mental health setting
