MENTAL HEALTH ASSOCIATION OF MORRIS COUNTY SEEKS TO FILL THE FOLLOWING POSTION:

Title: Nurse Assistant - LPN

Description: Full-time professional position as a member of the Supportive Housing program providing consultation and education on matters relating to physical health and personal care.

This position reports to the RN Nurse Supervisor.

1. Providing face-to-face health care monitoring for more medically needy customers, as assigned.

2. Developing and providing staff and consumer education and training

a. Provide guidance, training, and direction (from a healthcare perspective) to Community Life Coaches in their daily activities with Supportive Housing customers;
b. Develop and provide personal care training for Community Life Coaches;
c. Provide training and consultation to MHA staff and clients on nutrition and menu-planning, physical fitness and exercise, medication education, and other health-related topics;
d. Provide education and consultation on medication topics;
e. Provide formal group trainings to customers at least 4 times per year on topics related to wellness and recovery.
4. Providing feedback to be utilized in Supportive Housing service plan reviews/updates and case reviews

5. Maintaining program records

6. Completing other program-related tasks as assigned

Qualifications: Licensed by the State of NJ as an LPN plus one to two years’ experience. Must also have a valid driver’s license and the ability to work a flexible schedule to accommodate customer and program needs.

ICMS Case Manager (Bilingual in Spanish preferred).

Description: to work with adults with mental illness in the community. Case management, Team approach, cooperative model, advocacy perspective.

Requirements: BA/BS + 2 years experience.

Driver for Consumer Advocacy Program (CAP)

Description: Part-time position driving mental health consumers from various locations to activities in and around the Morris County area. Position is for a maximum of 20 hours per week, requiring some evening and/or weekend hours, as needed. This position reports to the CAP departments Assistant Director.

Responsibilities Include:
1. Provide safe and timely transportation of Mental Health Consumers to and from Self-Help activities.
2. Monitoring the upkeep and maintenance of agency vehicles that are used, reporting any issue to supervisor.
3. Completing paperwork as required.
4. Transporting up to 12 passengers at a time to activities.
5. Providing respectful and courteous service at all times.

Qualifications: Must have a valid New Jersey driver’s license, flexibility to work varying hours and days, and a strong commitment to our Mission.
